1. OIES is a non-profit organization (NGO) whose aim is to raise awareness to the Chilean society about the reality of the Mapuche people. This applies to civil society and particulary inside the Church.
2. To support the efforts of the Mapuche people, leading to the rescue of their own culture and identity and to the appraisement of their roots. |

Oies is open to all who share our concerns, who, regardless of political interests, have understood that the situation of the Mapuche into the national community represents a real challenge to our Christian conscience and to Chile as a country.
